Donating Your Time
With such a diverse ministry and a limited staff size (56 total), the Evansville Rescue Mission’s staff wear multiple hats to ensure that each of our ministry divisions are running smoothly. But we could not and can not complete this significant work without the energy, enthusiasm and compassion of our faithful volunteer base…our volunteers are the lifeblood of our ministry. Without volunteers, the Evansville Rescue Mission would not exist.
In 2012, the Mission was able to care for the Tri-State’s homeless and destitute with the assistance of 1,429 volunteers, totaling nearly 35,000 hours. This total is a representation of one-time and recurring (monthly and even weekly) volunteers assisting us in our work.
