We were able to host a great event at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, October 15 where we had nearly 25 participating teams of four playing golf for the Rescue Mission. Due to inclement weather, the Rescue Mission had to cancel our previously scheduled golf scramble, which was supposed to held on Monday, October 1.
Most importantly, critical funds were raised to offset the following ministries of the Evansville Rescue Mission because of our sponsors and participants' generosity:
- ResidenceCenter: up to 175 homeless men stay at our homeless shelter on a given night
- YouthCare Center: our juvenile detention center for boys and girls between the ages of twelve and seventeen
- CampReveal: the Mission’s 105 acre campground/retreat center that’s operational year-round for businesses, churches and civic groups and serves as the Summer Camp destination for local, disadvantaged youth.
- Evansville Rescue Mission Thrift Store: Operated by participants enrolled in the Mission’s P.A.C.E.S. (Purpose Accountability Christ Education Service) program, the general public can choose from a variety of affordable, gently-used items such as clothing (for all ages), furniture and appliances.
We would like to recognize the following sponsors for believing in our cause and for their faithful support:
