Summer Camp

Summer Camp’s Mission: To provide free, sponsored camping opportunities for Tri-State disadvantaged youth living at or below the federal poverty line during the summer.

Where: Camp Reveal (1042 E. Boonville-New Harmony Rd., Evansville, IN 47725)

When

  • July1-3, 2013: 10 and 11 year-old boys and girls
  • July 8-10, 2013: 8 and 9 year-old boys and girls
  • July 15-17, 2013: 12 and 13 year-old girls
  • July 18-20, 2013: 12 and 13 year-old boys

***Children can be dropped off at the Rescue Mission's Residence Center (500 East Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713) from 9 to 10 a.m. each Monday morning (except for 12 and 13 year-old boys) for check-in purposes for their corresponding Summer Camp age group.

***Children can be picked up at the Rescue Mission's Residence Center (500 East Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713) at 12 p.m. when a given age group's Summer Camp stay concludes.  

  • 10 and 11 year-old boys and girls can be picked at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3
  • 8 and 9 year-old boys and girls can be picked up at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10
  • 12 and 13 year-old girls can be picked up at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17
  • 12 an 13 year-old boys can be picked up at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 20

Activities Include: Archery, horse rides, swimming, “The Blob”, nature hikes, zip lines, ropes course, canoe & kayak races, caring for a community garden & a few surprises!                                                         

What To Bring

  • Your sleeping bag or linens
  • Clothes and swim clothes for all week
  • Nice casual clothes for chapel at night
  • A couple pairs of shoes
  • Toiletries & sun block
  • Bible (if you have one)

Registration Fee: Only $15
